The Society of the Irish Motor Industry has revealed the top selling cars in Ireland. Toyota is the best selling car brand in Ireland as new figures are published from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
In the first four months of 2017, 8,327 new Toyota vehicles were sold in Ireland. Volkswagen followed closely in 2nd position with 8,133 new cars sold.
In terms of the top selling models, the Hyundai Tuscon is the preferred choice for Irish motorists. SUVs are clearly popular at the moment with the Nissan Qashqai taking the 2nd position as the top selling model.
New car sales are down 10% in the first four months of 2017 compared to the same period in 2016. With UK imports increasing significantly, it is clear that Irish consumers are taking advantage of the weaker pound.
